Google has released its own fiber-optic ultra high speed Internet Connection of a whopping 1 Gbps! It is 100 times faster than today’s average Internet, allowing you to get what you want instantaneously. You can now also watch crystal clear HD TV without the need to buffer.

  • You can download a movie in less than 10 seconds and a mp3 file in less than a second.
  • The best part of the Google fiber is that there is no bandwidth cap.
  • The DVR box that comes with Google Fiber TV lets users record up to eight shows at one time. Its 2TB hard drive also means you can store as much as 500 hours of HD video.
  • Google is also offering an Internet-only package priced at $70 a month.

It is currently released only in Kansas City, Missouri and would start giving connections by September.

The download speeds would be around 1 gigabit a second, according to Google executives. Google is charging a $300 installation fee, saying consumers should treat it as a ‘home improvement’ cost.

Google Fiber’s ultra high-speed connections and television offerings  allows users to search live channels, Netflix, YouTube, recorded shows and tens of thousands of hours of on-demand programming.

This almost sounds like an April Fool’s joke to me. (I have checked the date). At this rate we can have anything! installation fee a bit high and I guess that wouldn’t involve anything direct using screwdrivers or cable!
